Cosmetochem International AG debuted Liposome Herbasec, a novel range of standardized botanical extracts in liposomal-based powder form. According to Cosmetochem, the liposomes in the freeze-dried dispersion of Liposome Herbasec are reformed when dispersed in water, re-encapsulating the concentrated plant extract. Liposomes serve as carriers to the skin, increasing the bioavailability of the plant extracts. Phospholipids are the safest, mildest substances, which allow the penetration of the plant actives into the deeper layers of the epidermis and avoid the use of solvents.

Delentigo, developed by Mibelle Biochemistry, is a new cosmetic ingredient that fights age spots and creates an even skin tone, according to the company.

Age spots are characterized by a local overproduction of the two pigments melanin and lipofuscin. Delentigo prevents and reduces the synthesis of both these pigments. Compared to classical whitening products that generally lighten the skin, Delentigo has a targeted, stronger lightening effect on age spots than on the surrounding normally pigmented skin.

The newly introduced products include variations of acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer chemistry offering super electrolyte resistance, according to the company.Both SER W-150 and SER W-300 can thicken solutions containing more than 4% salt, yet still retain substantial clarity and stable viscosities over 10,000 mPa.s. They also allow formulating at pH ranges as low as 4.5 to as high as 12, while still overcoming relatively high electrolyte levels.

Aqupec HV-701EDR is another grade that is especially exciting now, as it is so well suited for preparing clear hand sanitizing gels containing high concentrations of alcohol, according to the company.This product is also specially processed to minimize dispersion time, said Presperse.
